Thursday, (23/5) at around 21.00 WIB. The four perpetrators were arrested only 2.5 hours after the victim with the initials MSD reported his missing motorbike to the Polsek Neglasari.
The four perpetrators who were arrested had the initials RM (26), FS (26), MR (26) and RY (33). They are suspected to be a gang of motorbike theft syndicates who often operate within the jurisdiction of the Polres Metro Tangerang City.
Kapolsek Neglasari, AKP Dikie Wahyudi in his official statement representing the Kapolres Metro Tangerang City, Kombes Pol Zain Dwi Nugroho said, that the chronology of the incident began when the victim parked his motorbike at his boarding house, Purnabakti Complex, Karangsari, Neglasari. At around 18.30 WIB, the victim was suddenly shocked when he saw that the motorbike he had parked suddenly disappeared. The victim immediately reported this incident to the Polsek
Neglasari.
Receiving the victim’s report, the police immediately went to the scene and carried out a crime scene investigation and examined witnesses. In just a matter of hours, the perpetrator with the initials RM was arrested not far from the scene of the incident. However, RM no longer holds the stolen motorbike. But it is already in the hands of 3 other actors to be marketed and sold.
Not wasting much time, the police immediately tracked down the whereabouts of the three and succeeded in arresting them.
“Suspects FS, MR and RY acted as stores and marketed stolen vehicles. ”
We arrested them not long after RM was arrested as a motorbike picker,” said Kapolsek Dikie to reporters, Tuesday, (28/5).
From the hands of the perpetrators, evidence was obtained of the victim’s Honda Revo motorbike. Meanwhile, the four perpetrators were immediately taken to the Polsek Neglasari for further investigation and development.
The four perpetrators have also been named as suspects and charged under Article 363 of the Criminal Code with a maximum threat of imprisonment of more than 5 years.
Regarding this incident, the Kapolsek Dikie asked the public to use complaints via WhatsApp at 082211110110 or Call Center 110 which is connected directly to the Command Center at the Polres Metro Tangerang City Headquarters if they find suspicious incidents or street crimes.
