progresifjaya.id, BANDUNG – Kabaintelkam Polri, Komjen Pol Suntana together with Assistant HR Kapolri, Irjen Pol Dedi Prasetyo, Kasespim Lemdiklat Polri, Irjen Pol Chryshnanda Dwilaksana and alumni of Battalion Dhira Brata Akpol 1990 carried out the groundbreaking activity for the renovation of the Panggilan Sujud Mosque located at the Sespim Lemdiklat Polri, Sunday, (2/6).
This mosque, which was built in 1960, was last renovated six years ago or in 2018. Now in 2024, this mosque is undergoing renovation again. The initiator of the restoration and renovation of the Panggilan Sujud Mosque is the Head of Jianbang Sespim, Kombes Pol Enjang Hasan Kurnia.
Meanwhile, the former Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, is the architect of the renovation.
Kabaintelkam Polri, Komjen Pol Suntana in his speech expressed his gratitude for Ridwan Kamil’s willingness to prepare drawings of the renovation of this mosque.
“Hopefully it will be an endless act of worship for Kang Emil, thank you,” he said.
Meanwhile, Kasespim Lemdiklat Polri, Irjen Pol Chryshnanda Dwilaksana, in his official statement said, that the renovation of the Panggilan Sujud Mosque is an extraordinary thing because it is a means for worship.
“Apart from that, it is also for mental and spiritual development. With the renovation of the Panggilan Sujud Mosque, hopefully it can increase the faith of all of us,” said Irjen Pol Chryshnanda.
He also explained, that the basis for renovating this mosque was because it was old. Apart from that, the capacity is also inadequate when used simultaneously by Sespima, Sespimen, Sespimti and staff.
“This school is a means of strengthening the morals of future leaders. It is hoped that the students will not be arrogant, greedy, not angry and will always prioritize community service when they become leaders. All policies are also wise to improve the quality of life,” explained Irjen Pol Chryshnanda again.
Ridwan Kamil, the architect of the mosque renovation, admitted that he really supports the good things that the police are doing.
Including renovating the Panggilan Sujud Mosque. He also said, that the renovation of the Panggilan Sujud Mosque was the third mosque he had worked on for the Polri.
“First it was at the Polda Jabar,, then at Babel and now at Sespim. Alhamdulillah, the concept is from prostration, so the shape is not vertical domes. But it is more humble like someone prostrating,” he explained.
He hopes that the renovation of the Panggilan Sujud Mosque will be completed within a year. He also prayed that this mosque could produce leaders who were trustworthy and strong, both physically and mentally.
“Why do we have leaders, officials who are smart but whose spirituality is fragile? Well, the challenge in the future, mental health, spirituality must be the main priority,” he said again.
Furthermore, he also admitted that he was touched by the donations given by alumni to renovate the mosque, which is estimated to be between 1.000 m2 – 2.000 m2.
“In Syaa Allah, if you look at its size, a thousand times two means it can accommodate a congregation of up to two thousand people,” Ridwan Kamil said. (Bembo)
