progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – Security guards or satpam have an important value as security maintainers and as a backup for the police to detect early security disturbances that occur in the community.
This recognition was conveyed by the Wakapolda Metro Jaya, Brigjen Pol Djati Wiyoto Abadhy when reading the mandate of the Kapolda Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Karyoto at the inauguration and inauguration of the Regional Executive Board (DPD) of the Indonesian Security Profession Association (APSI) at the Metro Jaya Meeting Hall (BPMJ) building, Thursday, (1/8).
He said again, security guards actually have an important role to help the police’s duties. Kapolda Karyoto even said that security guards can carry out early detection of security threats.
“We must all admit that security guards have the ability to detect early and handle security incidents early. And this really helps the police’s task of maintaining public order,” said Wakapolda Djati again.
He further emphasized that the quality and professionalism of security guards must be the main priority. This is in line with the demands of the times and the complexity of the security challenges faced.
He also believes that the security guard profession will continue to develop in the future. In fact, he continued, security guards can become strategic partners for the police as well as industry players in maintaining security stability to support national economic growth.
“I am sure that close collaboration between security guards, the police, and the community will create a strong and effective security ecosystem,” he said again.
Also present at this event were the Director of Community Development of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Badya Wijaya and a number of main officials (PJU) of the Metro Jaya Police and members of APSI. (Bembo)
