progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – The legendary brawl between residents of RW 01 and 02 on Jalan Basuki Rahmat (Basura), Cipinang Besar Utara, Jatinegara, Jakarta Timur broke out again on Thursday, (29/8) early morning. This brawl resulted in a victim being injured from being splashed with acid and having a cellphone picked by the police.
The Kapolres Metro Jakarta Timur, Kombes Pol Nicolas Ary Lilipaly in his official statement said, that the police officer who was splashed with acid was injured on his face, hand and thigh. The victim is currently undergoing intensive care at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, Jakarta Timur. Then another police officer also lost his cellphone due to being pickpocketed. Both incidents occurred when the police were trying to break up a brawl between two groups who were throwing rocks and firecrackers and also carrying sharp weapons (sajam).
“We are investigating these two incidents and trying to hunt down the perpetrators,” said Kapolres Nicolas, Friday, (30/8).
He also said, that his party would take firm action against the perpetrators who caused police officers to be injured. Including those who stole police officers’ cellphones.
“A thorough investigation is being carried out. But i can assure you that we will be able to catch the perpetrators soon,” he emphasized again. (Bembo)
