progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – The Royal Domino online gambling house which is managed by a family in Cibinong, Bogor Regency, West Java, has been completely arrested by the Jatanras Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya team.
A family of 5 people who own and manage this gambling house have been arrested. This also includes arresting 18 admins who are tasked with promoting and serving gambling players.
All 23 people arrested have become suspects and have been subject to multiple crimes. They are accused of Article 303 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 45 paragraph (3) in conjunction with Article 27 paragraph (2) of Law Number 1 of 2024 concerning the second amendment to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions and/or Article 3, Article 4, and Article 5 in conjunction with Article 2 paragraph (1) letters t and z of Law Number 8 of 2010 concerning the Crime of Money Laundering. The criminal threat is also quite scary namely imprisonment for a maximum of 20 years.
Apart from arresting dozens of suspects, during this bust, several pieces of evidence were also confiscated, such as Rp2.5 billion in cash, 45 mobile phones of various brands, 10 savings books to hold the proceeds from the sale of chips, 3 computers and 2 cars.
Dirreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Wira Satya Triputra in his official statement explained, that based on the results of the examination of the suspects, the money from this online gambling house crime was used by the owner and manager to buy and play crypto. Apart from that, the profits obtained are also allocated for operational costs and paying the 18 admins of the Royal Domino online gambling house.
“The owner and manager of this online gambling house recruits his children’s college friends and school friends to become online gambling admins. They are paid between Rp2 million and Rp6 million to carry out promotions and serve online gambling players,” said Kombes Pol Wira, Thursday, (5/ 6).
Currently, he continued, bank accounts used to support online gambling operations in the form of bank accounts, e-wallets and crypto accounts used by organizers and admins to carry out chip buying and selling activities have been blocked.
“We have completely shut down the Royal Domino online gambling house. We have shut it down and can no longer operate. We have finished their business history,” said Kombes Pol Wira. (Bembo)
