progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – The Indonesia Towards Zero Over Dimension and Over Load (ODOL) program will soon be implemented by the Korlantas Polri. The initial phase of implementation, namely the commemoration stage, will begin coinciding with the 79th Anniversary of Bhayangkara on July 1.
Head of Operations for the Korlantas Polri, Kombes Pol Aris Syahbudin in his explanation said, that at this stage, the Highway Patrol (PJR) ranks will take on the role of the main implementers as well as examples for officers in other areas.
“Starting July 1, our PJR colleagues will become leaders and can be examples for our colleagues in the area in carrying out their duties until the 13th we implement a commemoration, both for Over Dimension and Overload,” said Kombes Pol Aris as quoted from the Korlantas Polri website, Thursday, (19/6).
He explained, that at the commemoration stage, officers will stop ODOL vehicles on the road that are indicated to be violating the dimensions or load provisions. Data collection will also be carried out by officers in the field comprehensively and the data will be uploaded to the application.
Field officers will also attach stickers with the date and submit a written warning letter.
The warning phase of the ODOLl Program will begin in Operation Patuh on July 14-27, 2025.
During this period, Korlantas will apply legal sanctions, either using ETLE (Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement) or manual ticketing.
“We will enforce the law, either using tickets, ETLE, and others. Including if colleagues in the advanced stage enforce traffic crime law,” said Kombes Pol Aris.
He also said, that this activity was different from the previous ODOL control because it began with the socialization stage. The socialization stage will last for one month until June 30, 2025.
Referring to the interim results of the socialization stage, it was recorded that 42.000 vehicles had been socialized, of which 11.000 were indicated to have violated ODOL.
From this socialization stage, it is expected that a broader understanding can be conveyed to vehicle owners and transportation business actors related to ODOL. (Bembo)
