progresifjaya.id, SIAK – Kapolda Riau, Irjen Pol Herry Heryawan together with Riau Governor, Abdul Wahid initiated the implementation of the 2025 Forest and Land Fire Jamboree (Karhutla) at Tahura Sultan Syarif Hasyim, Minas Jaya, Siak, Saturday, (26/4) yerterday. This activity is supported by all regents and mayors throughout Riau Province. The regional heads in Bumi Lancang Kuning are also committed to making Riau Province greener and free from forest and land fires (karhutla).
As stated by Kampar Regent, Ahmad Yuzar to reporters, the 2025 Forest and Land Fire Jamboree is in line with President Prabowo Subianto’s order during the regional head retreat in Magelang.
“We, the regents, are continuing the orders of President Prabowo Subianto after we conducted a retreat in Magelang. In Riau, we are holding the 2025 Karhutla Jamboree initiated by the Governor of Riau and the Kapolda Riau, Irjen Pol Herry Heryawan. We, the regents and mayors throughout Riau Province, are ready to make Mr. Prabowo’s program in Riau Province a success, together with the police chief and governor. We will eliminate, eliminate forest and land fires in Riau,” explained Ahmad Yuzar.
He said again, that the Riau Provincial Government together with all components of society have committed to uniting to prevent and overcome forest and land fires. He also invited the entire community to jointly preserve forests and the environment.
“We always support the Kapolda program to eliminate forest fires in Riau,” he emphasized.
A similar statement was also made by the Regent of Kuantang Singingi (Kuansing), Suhardiman. He said, this activity was a form of follow-up to President Prabowo’s orders.
“We hope that this jamboree will be part of our first effort to campaign against fire in Riau. There are no forest fires in Riau. All communities are moving to support a green Riau and free from fire,” said Suhardiman.
“Today we hope as a datuk to invite all uni mamak throughout Riau Province to jointly support this beautiful program. Move together to prevent forest and land fires,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Kapolda Riau, Irjen Pol Herry Heryawan on this occasion expressed his appreciation for the support of the Riau Provincial Government and the Forkopimda ranks so that the 2025 Karhutla Jamboree could be implemented. He also emphasized that the Polda Riau and the Forkopimda ranks and the scout movement were committed to making changes to prevent forest and land fires.
“We made a joint commitment with the younger generation of our nation to hold a Karhutla Jamboree activity. The goal is to provide an understanding to the community, especially the younger generation, that we must set an alert. We must also be able to provide an understanding of the dangers of forest fires,” said Kapolda Herry Heryawan. (Bembo)
