progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – The case of one of X’s accounts regarding the alleged distribution of a pornographic video that allegedly resembles the daughter of a well-known Indonesian musician until it went viral is still being investigated by investigators from the Cyber Sub-Directorate of the Ditreskrimsus of Polda Metro Jaya. In the nearest schedule, the musician’s child will be called for clarification.
Dirreskrimsus of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Ade Safri Simanjuntak in his statement stated, that he couldn’t yet answer when the musician’s son would be summoned. What is clear, he continued, is that all parties involved in this case will be invited to clarify the interests of the investigation.
“Currently, the Cyber Sub-Directorate investigation team is still working to investigate cases of alleged criminal acts reported by the reporter. The reporter himself has been initially clarified by the investigation team after making a report at SPKT PMJ and will be invited back for clarification in order to request additional information,” explained the Kombes Pol Ade Safri.
As is known, this case was reported by social media observer Feriyawansyah to Polda Metro Jaya and registered with number LP/B/3944/VII/SPKT POLDA METRO JAYA. The material he reported was related to violations of Article 27 in conjunction with Article 45 paragraph 1 and/or Article 4 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 29 and/or Article 7 of Law Number 44 of 2008 concerning Pornography by the owner of account X – formerly Twitter.
He also said, that the report was made on behalf of himself as a social media observer. Not as the victim’s legal representative. Based on this report, Feri asked Polda Metro Jaya to immediately investigate the spread of the pornographic video.
Also attached to the report is evidence related to the case.
“I made this report to prevent (the video) from spreading widely because it could damage our nation’s mentality. We as observers of social media are very sad to see this incident. We also ask KPAI to look into it now. To the police, this case will be paid attention to and the perpetrators who made it to be arrested immediately,” he explained again. (Bembo)
