progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – The Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) of Polda Metro Jaya in collaboration with the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) presented a special gift for participants of May Day Fiesta 2025 at Monas today. The special gift is a police escort for buses participating in the May Day Fiesta group that can drive for free on the toll road.
In his explanation, the Director of Traffic (Dirlantas) of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Komarudin said, that this special gift was given by his party together with the toll road managers and BPJT for the smooth running of the May Day Fiesta commemoration event. Moreover, the number of participants is so large that their mobility must also be facilitated.
The gift of free toll rates, said Kombes Pol Komarudin, was given with the aim of anticipating the accumulation of vehicles. His party does not want the sacredness of May Day Fiesta to cause traffic congestion and end in horror congestion.
“This is certainly to anticipate. Don’t let there be a long buildup, because there are thousands of buses predicted to be heading to Jakarta, both from the east and from Banten,” said the three-star Gemini officer from the Wira Pratama Akpol 1997 Battalion on Wednesday, (30/4) yesterday.
He explained, that his party would also attach escort personnel to each bus of the May Day Fiesta participant group. This is intended to help mobilize participants from various regions and the smooth running of the celebration activities.
“So our security concept is to attach Polri members to each bus. We also hope that our commemoration participants will be able to organize a group or group of buses so that the pick-up later can hopefully be faster,” he explained again.
For information, referring to the Letter of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency of the Ministry of PU No. BM0702-TL / 240 dated April 30, 2025, it is clearly stated that the Toll Road Business Entity is taking anticipatory steps to prevent and reduce potential congestion. One of the efforts is to let the group’s vehicles pass with police escort and have been coordinated beforehand.
