progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – The Cyber Sub-Directorate of the Ditreskrimsus of Polda Metro Jaya is currently investigating a case involving a social media observer’s report regarding one of the X accounts which distributed a pornographic video which allegedly resembles the daughter of a famous Indonesian musician.
This statement was conveyed directly by the Dirreskrimsus of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Ade Safri Simanjuntak to journalists, Monday, (15/7).
“That’s right, it’s currently under investigation. It’s being handled by a team of investigators from the Cyber Sub-Directorate of the Ditreskrimsus of Polda Metro Jaya. So the status is under investigation,” said Kombes Pol Ade Safri.
As is known, this case emerged after a social media observer named Feriyawansyah reported it to Polda Metro Jaya. The report is registered with the number LP/B/3944/VII/SPKT POLDA METRO JAYA. Feri reported the account owner regarding Article 27 in conjunction with Article 45 paragraph 1 and/or Article 4 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 29 and/or Article 7 of Law Number 44 of 2008 concerning Pornography.
“Initially we read the news on social media that one of the children of an artist was going viral. The social media account was uploading pornographic content. As a result of this, we felt it would damage the children of this nation. (Reported) one of the social media accounts started from news that spread to Twitter (now X) and Telegram,” explained Feriyawansyah at Polda Metro Jaya, last Friday, (12/7).
He also said, that he took the initiative to report as a social media observer, not as the victim’s attorney. He made a report with the intention that the police could immediately investigate the spread of the pornographic video.
“We can provide legal education to the public. We as social media observers, in this case we made a police report regarding indications of allegations that are currently viral that there is immoral pornography. We feel this is inappropriate,” he said again.
He also said, that in the report he also attached evidence. He hopes that the police will investigate this case and can quickly arrest the video’s spreader.
“So that (the video) doesn’t spread so widely that it will damage our nation’s mentality. We as observers of social media are very sad to see this incident. We also ask KPAI to look at it now. To the police so that this case is given immediate attention and the perpetrator who created it can be immediately arrested,” hoped Feriyawansyah. (Bembo)
