progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – The Polsek Metro Setiabudi Operations Team arrested two perpetrators of forgery of driving licenses (SIM). The perpetrator’s method of running this deceptive business is by opening communication channels with interested people via social media. A total of five fake SIM C, one fake SIM A, two fake general SIM B1, and three cellphones were confiscated as evidence in this arrest.
Apart from driver’s licenses, perpetrators are also known to clone diplomas and other documents that can be faked. From the bullshit business which has been running since August 2023, perpetrators can make up to Rp30 million a month.
Kapolsek Metro Setiabudi, Kompol Firman in his statement said, that the two perpetrators were arrested on Friday, (17/5) at around 23.00 WIB on Jalan Sawah Lunto No 67 RT02/RW001, Pasar Manggis, Setiabudi, Jakarta Selatan.
“The perpetrators we have arrested have the initials TN and PRA. We have charged them under Article 263 paragraph (1) in conjunction with 55 paragraph (1) 1 of the Criminal Code. The threat of imprisonment is a maximum of 6 years,” said Kapolsek Firman.
Separately, the Head of the SIM Security Section at the Ditlantas of Polda Metro Jaya, Kompol Reza Rahandi in his statement added, that the two perpetrators were proven to have issued around 500 fake SIMs.

“The hologram was procured by Korlantas. It is clear that this hologram cannot be faked at any time,” he said.
