progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – Polres Metro Jakarta Barat formed a special team to hunt down the perpetrators of the murder of Ustad Saidi (71), imam of the Uswatun Hasanah Mushalla, Pesing Garden, Kebon Jeruk, Jakarta Barat. The perpetrator has been identified and a sketch of his face has also been distributed.
“The special team formed by the Kapolres Metro Jakarta Barat, Kombes Pol M Syahduddi is still working. We also have the identity of the perpetrator,” said Kasat Reskrim Polres Metro Jakarta Barat, AKBP Andri Kurniawan when contacted, Thursday, (23/5).
He also explained, that the special team was still carrying out a series of investigations related to this case. Even so, he continued, his party will certainly be able to immediately arrest the perpetrator.
It was also stated that the perpetrator had special characteristics, namely wearing a necklace and a rather long mustache. At the time of the incident, the perpetrator was known to be wearing collared clothing.
“We will continue to hunt until we find the perpetrator,” said AKBP Andri while also appealing to people who have information regarding the perpetrator to immediately report it.
As is known, based on the narrative of Supriyadi, a witness at the location, the stabbing occurred at the ablution place at Uswatun Hasanah Mushalla, Pesing Garden, Kebon Jeruk, Jakarta Barat on last Thursday, (16/5) when the victim was about to pray at dawn at the prayer room.
“When it was time for the Fajr call to prayer, we immediately went upstairs (the top floor of the prayer room). I was praying two rak’ahs of the sunnah prayer, and it didn’t take long for Mr. Ustad to shout twice ‘thieves, thieves’. Not long after, the congregation came down (towards the ablution place) see Mr. Ustad is bleeding,” explained Supriyadi.
According to him, Mr. Ustad was stabbed on the right side of his back. Meanwhile, the perpetrator immediately ran away after stabbing the victim.
“He said he stabbed him in the back. But when he stabbed me, i didn’t see it because it happened in the ablution area. It was dark. We were praying upstairs. So no one knew. The only thing that happened was that Mr. Ustad was already bleeding,” he explained again. . (Bembo)
