progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – As a form of high concern for the community who are going home for Eid, Kapolda of Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Karyoto, conducted an inspection at the Pulogebang Terminal Security Post (Pospam), East Jakarta, Wednesday, (26/3). Basic food packages were also distributed to the homecoming travelers during this inspection.
In his official statement after the inspection, Kapolda Karyoto stated that he emphasized the safety aspect as the main concern. The suitability of the bus fleet used by homecoming travelers must have passed the Transportation Agency’s test and be ready to use. In addition, the condition of the drivers must also be ensured to be drug-free with urine tests and a thorough examination to ensure fitness.
“Usually, a driver who is fit when having his blood pressure checked will show a healthy condition. In addition, rest facilities at the terminal also need to be given more attention so that travelers feel comfortable. Overall, the air temperature at the terminal is good. Now the most important thing is safety during the trip,” said Kapolda Karyoto as a reminder.

Furthermore, he also highlighted the bus accident index five years ago which was quite high. Therefore, he hopes that this year the index can drop drastically to be in line with the principle of “Safe and Comfortable Homecoming.”
Meanwhile, regarding the inspection carried out, Kapolda Karyoto admitted that the condition of the Pulogebang Terminal is now much more conducive and safer than in the past.
Moreover, security at the Pulogebang Terminal has also been tightened with the presence of personnel from the TNI, Polri, and the Transportation Agency who are on standby 24 hours. Added to that is monitoring and supervision from CCTV cameras spread across various points. Travelers also feel even safer.

“Earlier i also reminded officers to be responsive to the needs of travelers. The most important thing is their health, so that the homecoming trip runs smoothly and safely to their destination,” said Kapolda Karyoto again.
Also accompanying Kapolda Karyoto in this inspection were Wakapolda of Metro Jaya, Brigjen Pol Djati Wiyoto Abadhy and Head of Transportation Agency of DKI Jakarta, Syafrin Liputo. (Bem)
