Holding TFG at Monas, Polri Optimistic that Bhayangkara’s 79th Anniversary Celebration Will Run Safely and Orderly

progresifjaya.id.id, JAKARTA – Polri conducted a security simulation through the Tactical Floor Game (TFG) activity, in the National Monument (Monas) area, Central Jakarta, Friday, (27/6). The TFG activity is a reflection of the security for the commemoration of Bhayangkara’s 79th Anniversary which will be held at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), East Jakarta, on July 1, 2025.

The TFG activity, which was attended by joint personnel from Polri, TNI, Transportation Agency, Satpol PP, and other supporting elements, is a strategic step to align the perceptions and technical readiness of all security officers in the field. Starting from traffic security simulations, parking points, to evacuation schemes for invited guests.

In this simulation, miniature vehicles and replica routes are used to describe the overall field scenario. The scenario is then discussed in detail, starting from the arrangement of the VVIP convoy movement, security points, to the flow of participants entering and exiting.

Head of Traffic Corps of the Polri, Irjen Pol Agus Suryonugroho explained in his statement, that as many as 5.800 joint personnel will be deployed to secure the event which is also planned to be attended by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto.

“Quite a lot. Almost 5.800 personnel will be assigned. Some are on guard at the main location, protocol roads, toll roads, and parking areas. All points are the focus of our security,” explained Irjen Pol Agus.

The joint post, he continued, will also be activated to control operational communications in the field, including to monitor traffic flow and the movement of VVIP guests.

Meanwhile, Director of Traffic of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Komarudin in his statement appealed to the public to be patient and avoid Monas. The reason is, on the day of the TFG there will be an extraordinary increase in activity around Monas and its surroundings.

The Polri conducted a security simulation through the Tactical Floor Game (TFG) activity to commemorate the 79th Bhayangkara Anniversary in the Monas area

“We urge the public to avoid potentially congested roads, such as Sudirman-Thamrin, Tomang-Harmoni, Juanda-Veteran, Gunung Sahari, Tugu Tani, and Cempaka Putih. Use alternative routes or public transportation,” said Kombes Pol Komarudin.

Furthermore, he also emphasized the importance of maintaining calm on the road, especially for drivers who often get emotional when facing traffic jams.

“Our officers are also human. Sometimes they are tired or emotional. So we urge drivers not to honk excessively like ‘tetetotet’. That does not solve the problem,” he said.

Kombes Pol Komarudin also said, that official parking pockets, return schemes, and anticipation of illegal parking have been prepared, starting from the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) area, Smesco, Inggom, Kemayoran, to a number of government buildings around Monas. Meanwhile, to prevent illegal parking, a special task force has also been formed to comb vulnerable points.

“We ensure that the area around Monas is free from illegal parking. Official officers will be on guard at the parking pockets. Don’t trust individuals who collect illegal parking fees,” he said again.

Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya, continued Kombes Pol Komarudin, has also prepared a gradual return system for participants from outside the region, such as East Java, West Java, and Banten. The return system is carried out by grouping pick-up points to avoid congestion.

Kombes Pol Komarudin also said, that with a multi-layered security system and cross-agency synergy, the Police are very optimistic that the peak of the 79th Bhayangkara Anniversary will be able to run safely, orderly, and conducively. This commemoration celebration is guaranteed to be a moment of pride for the Polri and the Indonesian people. Natalis laetus Polri! (Bembo)
