progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – AP (29), the perpetrator who threatened and extorted YouTuber Ria Ricis for Rp300 million turned out to be a former security guard at her house. To investigators, AP admitted that he was determined to do something like that because he was hurt by Ria Ricis’s dismissal from her job.
Kabid Humas of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi in his explanation to journalists, Wednesday, (12/6) said, that AP allegedly took personal photos and videos of Ria Ricis from CCTV footage at the victim’s house while he was still working as security. Apart from that, AP is also suspected of hacking the victim’s cellphone. He used all this data to threaten and blackmail Ria Ricis because she was fired from her job.
“Where did the suspect take the personal documents? From the CCTV of the victim’s house while he was working. Then from his cellphone. The suspect was given a cellphone by the victim to use for work. However, the victim’s personal data was still left there,” said Kombes Pol Ade Ary.
He also explained, that the suspect admitted that he was determined to do this because of economic needs as well. He no longer had money or a job, so his dark eyes were determined to threaten and blackmail his former boss, Ria Ricis.
“It’s also a combination of economic needs. That’s why he mentioned a fairly large figure, namely Rp300 million,” said Kombes Pol Ade Ary again.
Ria Ricis herself, she continued, had not had time to transfer the money. AP has been hastily arrested by investigators from the Cyber Sub-Directorate of the Ditreskrimsus of Polda Metro Jaya based on an investigation into the report made by Ria Ricis.
To be held accountable for his actions, the suspect AP is charged under Article 27B paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 45 and/or Article 30 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 46 and/or Article 32 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 48 of Law Number 1 of 2024 concerning the Second Amendment on Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions.
