progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – Polres Metro Jakarta Utara made a strong breakthrough by raiding Muara Bahari Village, also known as Kebon Pisang in the Tanjung Priok area, Saturday, (13/7) morning. A total of 31 people consisting of 26 men and 5 women were also scratched in this raid.
Kapolres Metro Jakarta Utara, Kombes Pol Gidion Arif Setyawan in his official statement said, that this raid was carried out in the context of Operation Nila Jaya 2024.
Apart from arresting 31 people, continued Kapolres Gidion, during the raid on this iconic drug area, the police also confiscated drones, CCTV and televisions which were allegedly used to monitor the movements of police officers. Then they also found bongs, scales, used drug clips, money counting machines and a number of sharp weapons (sajam) such as sickles, machetes, samurai, swords and even airsoft guns.
“There are drones that we can secure from this iconic drug village. It is strongly suspected that these drones were deliberately prepared to monitor the movements of members in the field. Or, more specifically, for them to guard their premises and businesses,” said Kapolres Gidion.
Meanwhile, Kasat Narkoba Polres Metro Jakarta Utara, AKBP Prasetyo Noegroho added, that the 31 people who were suspected of being drug users and arrested were then transported to the Polres Metro Jakarta Utara for urine tests.
“We took them to the Polres because they were suspicious. Urine test and will be processed if the results are positive. Those who are negative will be sent home,” he said. (Bembo)
