progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – Two self-proclaimed thugs in Asahan Regency, North Sumatra, acted cruelly and arbitrarily. Starting from an argument asking for a rogue’s money, the two thugs named Budiman Krisman Sibarani and Pontas Sibarani abused the victim named Syahbuki Hasibuan until he was injured and battered. The victim’s injuries were due to a fractured skull and caused blindness in his left eye.
This cruel abuse took place on a rice field embankment on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 10:00 WIB. The location of the incident was in Dsn VII, Rawang Pasar IV, Rawang Panca Argo, Asahan Regency, North Sumatra.
According to information from eyewitnesses, the incident began with a heated argument between the victim and the two perpetrators who were related by an uncle and nephew. The two perpetrators, who are known as thugs, demanded money from the victim, who was in fact the rice field renter. The two perpetrators also claimed to be bullshit as the owner of the rice field rented by the victim.
An argument finally ensued. The victim, who knew that the two perpetrators were not the owner of the rice field that was rented, immediately rejected the confession. The two perpetrators’ demand for money from the two perpetrators was also firmly rejected. Not accepting the victim’s attitude of fighting back, the two perpetrators became violent. A pushing action occurred and the victim was beaten repeatedly by the two perpetrators.
Unable to fight back against the beating, the victim finally tried to run to save himself. However, he fell into the ditch due to the push of the perpetrator Pontas. But the victim tried to escape again and was chased by the perpetrator Pontas and the perpetrator Budiman who was carrying a hoe.
Because the location was a rice field embankment, the victim was stuck trying to find a way to save himself. The victim was forced to fight the perpetrator Budiman again with a piece of wood to avoid being hit by the perpetrator Budiman’s hoe. But the victim lost. The sharp hoe blade from the perpetrator Budiman managed to tear the upper part of the victim’s head. The victim was then sprawled in the middle of a puddle of mud in the rice field covered in blood.
This cruel act of abuse was finally reported by the victim’s relatives to the Kisaran City Police. And as a follow-up, the perpetrator Budiman Krisman Sibarani was successfully arrested by the Kisaran City Polsek Criminal Investigation Unit on Friday, (20/6). Meanwhile, the perpetrator Pontas still failed to be caught because he was considered to have turned into a ghost. Sometimes he can be seen, as it were, sometimes he can’t be seen.
An eyewitness who also made a police report (LP) of the incident to the Kisaran City Polsek, Sopyan Can, really regretted the follow-up from the police which was invaluable. Of the two perpetrators of the cruel abuse reported, only one perpetrator was arrested. Meanwhile, another perpetrator, Pontas, who is also the uncle of the perpetrator Budiman, is still roaming free while grinning and feeling no guilt.
“The perpetrator Budiman was indeed the one who hoed the victim’s head. But the mastermind or mastermind behind the incident was Pontas. He was the one who ordered Budiman to act cruelly by hoeing the victim’s head. Why wasn’t he arrested and processed? Where is the proof of justice and precise law enforcement by the Polri,” said Sopyan in astonishment.
“Soon the Polri will celebrate its 79th anniversary on July 1. We, as the victim’s family, really hope that the mastermind behind this incident, Pontas Sibarani, can be arrested before July 1. And hopefully the Polri can realize our hopes,” he added very hopefully.
