progresifjaya.id, TANGERANG – One suspect with the initials J bin A (26) has been named by the Polres Metro Tangerang City for the case of providing household assistants (ART) related to the incident of a household member with the initials CC (16), who jumped from the roof of a 3rd story house in Cimone, Tangerang City , Wednesday, (29/5) at around 06.45 WIB.
The suspect was charged with a criminal offense for allegedly exploiting children or employing children by falsifying the identity of CC victims so that they could be employed as household members. The suspect was also proven to have made authentic documents in the form of fake KTPs by falsifying the victim’s age to be 21 years old and having his address in Brebes.
Even though currently, CC is still 16 years old according to his family card and junior high school diploma and his address is in Karawang. Based on the results of checks at Disdukcapil, the NIK on the fake KTP made for the victim was also not registered.
To be held accountable for his actions, investigators charged suspect J bin A with Article 2 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 21 of 2007 concerning the Crime of Human Trafficking (TPPO) and/or Article 76i in conjunction with Article 88 and/or Article 76C in conjunction with Article 80 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of the Year 2014 concerning amendments to Republic of Indonesia Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection and/or Article 44 and/or Article 45 of Republic of Indonesia Law Number 23 of 2004 concerning Domestic Violence and/or Article 68 in conjunction with Article 185 of Republic of Indonesia Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning Employment and/or Article 263 and/or Article 264 and/or Article 333 of the Criminal Code. The multiple layers of the alleged articles mean that the suspect faces up to 15 years in prison.
Kapolres Metro Tangerang City, Kombes Pol Zain Dwi Nugroho in his official statement accompanied by Head of Public Relations, Kompol Aryono and Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, Kompol Rio Tobing said, that J bin A was named a suspect based on the title of the case and the results of the examination of the victim, witnesses and evidence obtained, including the victim’s fake KTP.
Currently, Kapolres Zain continued, and Polres Metro Tangerang City are also continuing to pursue other perpetrators who made fake KTP. This also includes carrying out inspections of distributors, and carrying out inspections of the victim’s employer on behalf of LA. From the results of the examination, LA’s status as the victim’s employer will be decided.
“We continue to develop this case. For the victim’s employer with the initials LA, we will decide on his status after all the investigations are completed,” said Kapolres Zain Saturday, (1/6) yesterday.
Coinciding with Pancasila’s Birthday, Kapolres Zain coordinated with the Acting Mayor of Tangerang City and the Tangerang City Forkopimda and also visited CC victims at the Tangerang District Hospital after the ceremony. Also assisting the Tangerang City Health Service and Social Service.
On this occasion, Acting Mayor of Tangerang, Dr Nurdin said, that his party would carry out optimal medical treatment for the victim so that he could return to his original condition. The Tangerang City Government will cover all treatment costs until the victim recovers. Apart from that, assistance will also be provided to victims by the PPA and P2TP2A Units, including trauma recovery by psychiatrists.
“Currently the victim is still receiving medical treatment at the Tangerang District Hospital. And the costs of the victim’s medical treatment will be borne entirely by the Tangerang City Government,” said Dr Nurdin. (Bembo)
