progresifjaya.id, BEKASI – The Inavis Team from the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya is investigating the discovery of seven bodies in the Bekasi River, Bekasi City. A number of witnesses were also questioned to seek information.
This was conveyed by the Kabid Humas of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi in his statement, Sunday, (22/9).
“Yes, we are seeking information from witnesses,” he said.
He also said, that in addition to seeking information, the police had also checked directly at the location where the bodies were found behind the Al Ikhlas Mosque, one of the housing complexes in Jatirasa, Jatiasih. The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
“Currently, the seven bodies found in the Bekasi Jatiasih River are at the Police Hospital. All are under identification examination by the Inafis Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya team,” he said again.
As previously reported, the seven bodies were found in a terrible condition. All of them had swollen faces. The Bekasi City BPBD is currently still guarding the Bekasi River to anticipate the possibility of more bodies being carried away by the current after the discovery of seven bodies.
“The BPBD team is still waiting in the river at the point below the Kemang Pratama bridge. We are guarding against the possibility of there still being victims carried away by the current in the Bekasi River,” said the Head of the Bekasi City BPBD, Priadi Santoso. (Bembo)
