Kakorlantas Polri: 11 Death Victims of Deadly Accident Km 58 Japek Toll Road Have Been Identified

progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – The police revealed that they had succeeded in identifying 11 people out of a total of 12 people who died in the fatal accident at Km 58 of the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) toll road. This was the statement made by the Kakorlantas Polri, Irjen Pol Aan Suhanan at the Cikampek Command Center, Tuesday, (9/4).

“Overall, it is possible from Dokkes, yes. But reports from Dokkes have identified 11 of them,” he said.

It was explained that the plan would be to hand over the two bodies to the families. After that, there will be an administrative process.

“There will be two bodies handed over, maybe after that the administrative process. Maybe today, hopefully these 11 bodies can be handed over,” he said.

Apart from that, Irjen Pol Aan continued, Korlantas Polri also revealed the provisional suspicion of the cause of the fatal accident at Km 58 of the Japek Toll Road involving a GranMax car with a bus and a Terios car. Police suspect that the GranMax’s speed exceeded 100 km/hour.

“The results of the crime scene investigation in this field suggest that the GranMax’s speed exceeded 100 (km/hour), it is suspected, yes, that is the result of our technology,” he said again.

He also said, that another suspicion obtained from the results of the crime scene investigation was that no braking was found. He said speeds of more than 100 km/hour also made the car unstable.

“There (the crime scene), there were no brake traces on the GranMax. There were no brake traces. This means that at that speed, he swerved to the right. This means there was no attempt to brake. So we can see from those traces,” he concluded. (Bembo)
