progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – The appearance of the little police (Pocil) or Tunas Bhayangkara Police from the Polda West Java (Jabar) who managed to amaze the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto during the people’s party for the 79th Anniversary of Bhayangkara in 2025 at Monas some time ago received appreciation from the Kakorlantas Polri, Irjen Pol Agus Suryonugroho.
For the slick appearance that amazed RI 1, Irjen Pol Agus also emphasized the commitment of the Polri to continue developing the Pocil program throughout Indonesia. This commitment is also part of the strategy for fostering society and sustainable national development.
The little police are the seeds of Indonesia’s golden generation who have character, are brave, and have the soul of Bhayangkara. These seeds were created from the initiative and ideas of the Indonesian National Police to instill discipline and legal awareness from an early age. This program was then realized into a character development movement for children that had a wide impact.
This program is implemented in various Polda as part of the Polri’s educational approach to society. The Pocil program has trained thousands of children throughout Indonesia to grow into disciplined, responsible, and law-conscious individuals.
To note, Irjen Pol Agus at that time took the time to check the preparation and condition of Pocil before appearing in front of President Prabowo and invited guests of the 79th Bhayangkara Anniversary at Monas. During the check, Irjen Pol Agus expressed his appreciation after seeing Pocil’s movements.
“I was present at the Polda West Java because i felt proud, the Polda West Java represented by the younger siblings will later appear in front of the President of the Republic of Indonesia. Later appearing in front of the Kapolri, all ministers. The younger siblings were selected to be able to appear at Monas in the context of the 79th Bhayangkara Anniversary. Therefore, i represented the Kapolri to be able to be present to see the younger siblings. It turned out that all the younger siblings were healthy, all cheerful,” explained Irjen Pol Agus giving his praise at that time.
Not to forget, on that occasion, Irjen Pol Agus also expressed his gratitude to the Polda West Java.
“I would like to thank the ranks of the Polda West Java who have presented the little police or Tunas Bhayangkara Police at the 79th Bhayangkara Anniversary people’s party,” he said again.
It is also important to note that the Pocil program is not limited to marching training. There is a deep coaching process embedded behind the neat and enthusiastic Pocil movements. The deep coaching process that is embedded aims to form basic life values. Pocil is also taught and formed to always obey the rules, time, and instructions.

Each Pocil member is trained to be able to understand and carry out their respective roles with full awareness. The marching scheme and formations taught train the understanding of the importance of togetherness and synergy. In the end, this challenging training process will shape the children’s mentality to be tough.
Meanwhile, in terms of understanding legal awareness, children are also introduced to traffic rules and the importance of obeying the law. Then the moment of appearing in public also trains the courage and self-confidence of children. And in the end, Pocil also becomes one of the strategic elements of the Polri to build relationships with the community. Becoming a community partner.
The existence of Pocil is undeniable that it can build closeness between children and their families with the Polri. Pocil is also a role model for peers at school and in the surrounding environment. Becoming a figure who instills moral values, responsibility, and discipline from an early age.
The existence of Pocil is also believed to be able to channel positive energy that is directed at children. As well as being an ambassador for orderly traffic in their respective environments. (Bembo)
