Operation Patuh Jaya 2024 Ends, 60.533 Violators Punished

progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – Operation Patuh Jaya 2024 which lasted for 2 weeks since July 15 ended on Sunday, July 28. A total of 60.533 traffic violators were punished during the operation.

Kabid Humas of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi in his official statement said, for two-wheeled vehicles there are two types of violations that are the most frequent. The first is not wearing a helmet as many as 3.738 cases, the second is going against the flow of traffic as many as 3.660 cases.

While for four-wheeled vehicles, the most frequent violation is not wearing a seat belt as many as 22.637 cases. Meanwhile, violations of using a cellphone while driving as many as 517 cases, then violating road markings 398 cases, using strobes and rotators not according to their intended use as many as 74 cases and exceeding the load only one case.

“In total, there are 33.460 violators who were ticketed by ETLE cameras. For manual tickets, 83 violators and 26.990 violators were given sympathetic warnings,” said Kombes Pol Ade Ary, Monday, (29/7).

He also explained, that the number of four-wheeled violations in 2024 was recorded to have increased drastically compared to 2023. Based on the data, the increase reached 239 percent or a difference of 16.665 cases.

“There were 23.636 cases of four-wheeled violations during the 14 days of Operation Patuh Jaya. Meanwhile, in Operation Patuh Jaya in 2023, there were only 6.971 four-wheeled violations. The difference is 16.665 cases or an increase of 239%,” he said.

Furthermore, he also hopes that public discipline in traffic will not decrease after Operation Patuh Jaya 2024 ends. This awareness is expected to be formed to create security, safety, order, and smooth traffic or Kamseltibcarlantas.

As is known, the two-week implementation of Operation Patuh Jaya 2024 has indeed set targets for 14 types of traffic violations. The 14 target violations are, going against the flow, driving under the influence of alcohol, using a cellphone while driving, not wearing an SNI helmet, not wearing a seat belt, and exceeding the speed limit

Next are violations of underage driving or not having a driver’s license, carrying more than one passenger, four-wheeled vehicles or more that are not roadworthy, vehicles not equipped with STNK, violating road markings, installing rotators and sirens for non-designation purposes, using fake number plates or TNKB, and illegal parking.
