Polda Metro Continues to Investigate Komdigi Judol Blocking Case, 22 Suspects Already Caged

progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – The case of unblocking online gambling (judol) involving employees of the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi) continues. Most recently, three bookies who own judol sites were successfully ambushed by the Subdit Jatanras Polda Metro Jaya team at Soekarno – Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Banten.

The three bookies who were protected by Komdigi employees and were ambushed had the initials B, BK, and HF. From them, money worth 600 million in various currency denominations was also confiscated.

Dirreskrimum of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Wira Satya Triputra in his official statement said, that the three suspects were ambushed shortly after setting foot at the airport. They are also the police’s target.

“The role of suspects B and BK and HF, as well as suspect HE who were ambushed yesterday were as owners and managers of thousands of gambling sites so that they would not be blocked by Komdigi,” said Kombes Pol Wira.

In addition to confiscating 600 million in various currencies, Senior Commissioner Wira continued, three cellphones and three ATM cards were also confiscated in this ambush.

“We will continue to investigate, including tracing the proceeds of crime owned by the suspects,” said Kombes Pol Wira again.

So far, the Komdigi gambling unblocking case has imprisoned 22 suspects. Of that number, 10 suspects are Komdigi employees. (Bembo)
