progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – It didn’t take long for investigators from the Cyber Sub-Directorate of the Ditreskrimsus of Polda Metro Jaya to successfully arrest the alleged perpetrator of threats and extortion against YouTuber Ria Yunita or known as Ria Ricis.
Dirreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Ade Safri Simanjuntak in his official statement said, that the perpetrator with the initials AP was arrested at his house in the Cipayung area, Jakarta Timur, Monday, (10/6) yesterday.
“The perpetrator was immediately taken by investigators to Polda Metro Jaya and detained for in-depth investigation,” said Kombes Pol Ade Safri to journalists, Tuesday, (11/6).
As previously reported, Polda Metro Jaya received a report from Ria Ricis who felt threatened and blackmailed. This report was received last Friday, (7/6).
Kabid Humas of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi also added, in his report Ria Ricis admitted that he was contacted by someone named Jacky who she said threatened to share personal photos or videos via social media.
“Sister RR received threats via electronic media that she would share the victim’s personal photos or videos on social media,” said Kombes Pol Ade Ary.
Furthermore, Kombes Pol Ade Ary continued, in the report the perpetrator was also said to have carried out extortion by forcefully demanding Rp300 million from Ria Ricis.
“If the victim does not give the amount of money, among others, what the report said was Rp300 million and it was sent to an account number in Jacky’s name. The reported party was also threatened with having her personal photos and videos distributed if she didn’t give the requested money,” explained Kombes Pol Ade Ary. (Bembo)
