progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – Polda Metro Jaya appealed to people driving motor vehicles to avoid traffic around the RI KPU Building, Central Jakarta, ahead of the plenary meeting to appoint the 2024 president and vice president-elect today, Wednesday, (24/4). Motorists are asked to look for alternative routes.
This is the message conveyed by the Kabid Humas of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi in writing to journalists today.
He also reminded people who will express their opinions in public, aka demonstrations, to also pay attention to the rights of other people who are unwilling to join in demonstrating according to the law.
Furthermore, he also said that all personnel involved in security were guaranteed to act persuasively, never be provoked, always prioritize negotiations and provide humane service.
“All security personnel have also been guaranteed that they will work according to procedures. So the public doesn’t need to worry,” he explained.
As is known, today the KPU will hold a plenary meeting to determine the elected president and vice president in 2024. To secure this activity, Polda Metro Jaya deployed 4.266 joint personnel from the Polri, TNI, Satpol PP and Dishub. (Bembo)
