progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – Two men who were perpetrators of mugging of retired TNI in the Mustikajaya area, Bekasi City, West Java were successfully arrested by the police. The two perpetrators with the initials WW and SRA are currently suspects and are languishing in the Polda Metro Jaya detention cell.
Kabid Humas of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi in his statement said, that the two perpetrators were charged with Article 265 of the Criminal Code concerning Theft with Violence aka motorcycle mugging. Both are threatened with a maximum prison sentence of 9 years.
He also explained, that although the two perpetrators have been arrested, the police are still continuing to conduct a series of investigations. Two of the perpetrators’ friends who also took part in the mugging are also being hunted.
“There are two more who have been named as DPOs and we are pursuing them, with the initials KG and TIP,” said Kombes Pol Ade Ary.
The chronology of the robbery of the retired TNI went viral on social media on Monday, (9/9). From the video that circulated and went viral, it initially showed the victim riding alone.
It turned out that the victim was followed by four perpetrators riding two motorbikes. Not long after, the perpetrators cornered the victim until he fell off his motorbike.
The perpetrators who were carrying sharp weapons in the form of machetes then threatened the victim. The victim then screamed while moving away from the perpetrators. The perpetrators were then free to take the victim’s motorbike and leave the scene. (Bembo)
