For his actions, the perpetrator was charged with multiple articles.
Kabid Humas of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi said in his statement, that the perpetrator SAA alias U was charged with Article 170 of the Criminal Code concerning Group Violence in Public Against People. The threat from this article is imprisonment of more than 5 years.

He further regretted, the perpetrator’s actions. The presence of the police at the scene to break up the brawl that had the potential to endanger the safety of the brawlers and the surrounding community was instead responded to with a dangerous attack.

As a result of the attack by SAA, the injured police were ultimately unable to take police action.
