progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – The Precision Pioneer Patrol (3P) Team of the Polres Metro Jakarta Pusat Samapta Unit succeeded in arresting five teenagers who were suspected of wanting to stage a brawl on Jalan Pasar Senen, Jakarta Pusat, Sunday, (19/5) at around 04.00 WIB.
The five teenagers who were arrested were identified as RSAS (14), FS (16), RM (21), FA (19) and IS (25). Together with them, they also seized evidence of a sharp weapon, a three-bladed long sickle with a wooden handle, one cocor duck and two motorbikes, the Yamaha Aerox and Yamaha Mio.
These teenagers and their evidence were immediately handed over by the 3P Team to the Polsek Senen to undergo further legal proceedings. There is a possibility that they could be charged under Article 2 paragraph 1 of the Emergency Law Number 12 of 1951 with the threat of 10 years in prison.
Kapolres Metro Jakarta Pusat, Kombes Pol Susatyo Purnomo Condro in his official statement said, that the chronology of securing teenagers who were about to brawl began when the 3P Team was carrying out regional patrols. While combing the Senen area, a group of teenagers were seen allegedly wanting to start a brawl. Seeing this situation, Team 3P immediately moved to attack them and give chase. Some managed to escape, but five of them who were known to be carrying sharp weapons were snatched away.
“The five teenagers who were arrested because they were suspected of wanting to fight, along with the evidence of sharp weapons that were confiscated, are evidence of the work of the Precision Pioneer Patrol Team’s routine patrol activities every night to maintain Kamtibmas in the Jakarta Pusat area,” said Kapolres Susatyo, Sunday, (19/5).
“We also appeal to the public to care about their children’s relationships and control their children’s activities when they are outside the home. Don’t become perpetrators who violate the law and victims of crimes by irresponsible people,” he added, adding that residents who need police presence can contact the Polsek or the nearest Polres, or you can call center 110 for immediate follow up by the police.
