progresifjaya.id, TANGERANG – The Narcotics Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya has once again succeeded in breaking the chain of drug trafficking networks. The latest news is that 20 packs of crystal methamphetamine (sabu) in chinese tea packaging were found during a raid on a rented house in Cicayur Village RT 001 RW 02, Pagedangan, Tangerang Regency, Thursday, (11/7) at 19.30 WIB. A middle-aged man and an elderly man were also arrested in this raid.
Dirresnarkoba of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Donald Parlaungan Simanjuntak in his statement said, that the raid was carried out by Sub-Directorate Team 3 commanded by AKBP Malvino Edward Yusticia after receiving information about drug trafficking from the public.
“For approximately one week after receiving the information, we immediately investigated and followed up. After all the information was confirmed, we carried out a raid and arrested two male drug couriers carrying out a transaction,” said Kombes Pol Donald at the location of last night’s raid.
He also explained, that the two men arrested during the raid were recidivists. The first is a middle-aged man with the initials H (45) and another elderly man with the initials AS (77). In fact, continued Kombes Pol Donald, it is known that the AS has been to prison three times.
“We are still investigating and developing everything. H and AS were arrested while they were carrying out a transaction to pick up and deliver methamphetamine. Meanwhile, the evidence of 20 packets of chinese tea containing methamphetamine was estimated to weigh 1 kg per pack. So a total of 20 kg of methamphetamine was seized,” said Kombes Pol Donald again.
