progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – The Precision Pioneer Patrol (3P) Team of the Polres Metro Jakarta Selatan Sat Samapta continuously carries out regional monitoring patrols at night and early in the morning. Patrol efforts are always carried out at a number of strong points to ensure that the security and social security conditions in Jakarta Selatan are safe and conducive.
Regional monitoring patrols targeting strong points are also intended as a preventive measure against street crimes such as thuggery, brawls and acts of aggravated theft (curat), violent theft (curas) and motor vehicle theft (curanmor).
Head of Polres Metro Jakarta Selatan Samapta, AKBP Rosa Witarsa in her official statement said, that the monitoring patrols in the early evening areas carried out by the 3P Team every day were in the Enhanced Routine Activities (KRYD) category. Because it is included in this category, the implementation of activities automatically has full responsibility for providing a sense of security and comfort to the community.
“The 3P Team Sat Samapta for the Polres Metro Jakarta Selatan is strengthened by trained personnel who are alert and agile to deal with problems involving Kamtibmas,” explained AKBP Rosa to reporters, Wednesday, (15/5).
“Apart from having the skills and readiness to act, they are also equipped with good communication skills to carry out dialogical campaigns. So a reflection of the Polri’s function as guardians and protectors of the community can actually be seen from the 3P Team,” he added.
He said again, that the ability of the Polres Metro Jakarta Selatan 3P Team to build dialogical communication with the community has provided a lot of evidence of benefits. One of them was when the 3P Team’s monitoring patrol crossed Mataram Park, some time ago, they found a number of youths still hanging out even though it was early in the morning.
The 3P team immediately approached the young men and politely reprimanded them and invited them to have a relaxed conversation. In this casual conversation, the message of Kamtibmas was conveyed using a narrative typical of youth interactions so that it was easy to understand.
“The essence of the message was to tell them to go home because hanging out for a long time until the early hours of the morning in public places had the potential to disturb Kamtibmas. And it turned out that they all understood that. It didn’t take long before they dispersed and went back to their respective homes,” explained AKBP Rosa again. (Bembo)
