progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – Dozens of tourist police personnel on roller skates, electric bicycles and Segway electric scooters were deployed by the Directorate of Vital Object Security (Pam Obvit) Polda Metro Jaya at the Hotel Indonesia (HI) roundabout, Sunday, (26/5).
Dozens of tourist police personnel were deployed as part of the activities of the Ditpamobvit Polda Metro Jaya tourist police to secure Jakarta’s Car Free Day (CFD) activities.
Dirpamobvit Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Joko Sulistio in his statement said, the Ditpamobvit Polda Metro Jaya Tourist Police were deployed to ensure public safety during the implementation of the CFD.
“The tourist police are here to provide services in addition to security. People who need police services can go directly to the tourist police in front of the HI Police Post. The tourist police also patrol along the car free day route,” said Kombes Pol Joko Sulistio.
He also explained, that the presence of tourist police at CFD events could also be maximized in emergency situations. For example, if someone gets pickpocketed or a child goes missing, people can immediately ask the tourist police there for help.
In this CFD activity, the Ditpamobvit Polda Metro Jaya tourist police also held gymnastics with the community as a form of support for this event. (Bembo)
