progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – Polda Metro Jaya has deployed 2.335 joint personnel to secure the third round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers for the Asian Zone between Indonesia and Australia at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Jakarta Pusat, Tuesday, (10/9) tonight. The joint security personnel deployed come from Polda Metro Jaya, Polres Metro Jakarta Pusat, TNI, Transportation Agency, Fire Department, and Satpol PP.
Kabid Humas of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Imdradi explained in his statement, that thousands of security personnel will be spread to various points in the GBK area. In addition to security, he continued, Ditlantas Polda Metro has also prepared a traffic engineering scheme around GBK. Even so, the engineering scheme is situational, depending on conditions in the field.
“A situational traffic engineering scheme has also been prepared. People who have no business passing around GBK during the match at 19.00 WIB will be directed by our officers in the field,” said Kombes Pol Pol Ade Ary, Tuesday, (10/9).
It was also revealed that for the smooth running of the match, Polda Metro Jaya also invited the public to maintain order during the match. Spectators who come to GBK will also be strictly checked.
“For those who have bought tickets to watch, please be orderly and polite. We pray that Indonesia will win. We pray and show that we are good Indonesian citizens with good attitudes,” he said again.
“Please follow the advice and instructions of our officers in the field. SOPs will be carried out for checking belongings and so on,” he added.
As is known, the Garuda versus Socceros match is a continuation of Group C of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers. The match will take place tonight at 19.00 WIB.
Based on the temporary standings, Indonesia is currently in fourth place in Group C with one point from a draw against Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, Australia is in fifth place with zero points.
In the third round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, only the group champions and runners-up can qualify for the 2026 World Cup finals. Meanwhile, the third and fourth place teams must go through the fourth round of qualification. (Bembo)
