progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – Because of his reckless recklessness to sell pornographic videos of minors, Deky Yanto alias DY (25) is now curled up in a Polda Metro Jaya detention cell. He was arrested by the Polda Metro Jaya Ditreskrimsus Cyber Sub-Directorate Team because he was tracked by a cyber patrol selling videos like this via the X and Telegram applications.
When questioned by investigators, Deky admitted that he had been selling like this for almost 2 years. He’s been doing this since November 2022. And when he was visiting in May 2024, unfortunately he came and was arrested by the police.
Wadir Reskrimsus at Polda Metro Jaya, AKBP Hendri Umar in his official statement at a press conference at Polda Metro Jaya revealed, that the perpetrator was selling child pornographic videos at varying prices. Starting from Rp100.000 for 5 Telegram groups, Rp150.000 for 10 Telegram groups, Rp200.000 for 15 Telegram groups, and Rp300.000 for 20 Telegram groups.
“During two years of operation, the perpetrator made a turnover of hundreds of millions of rupiah. It’s extraordinary. He also admitted that he was in this business for economic motives. But we will carry out further examination regarding the psychology of the perpetrator,” said AKBP Hendri Umar, Friday, (31/5).
He also explained, that a psychological examination would be carried out because when traced, the perpetrator didn’t have any sexual disorders or disorders. However, it is not yet known whether the perpetrator is a pedophile or something similar.
“That’s why we will definitely carry out a psychological examination of this suspect,” he said again.
As previously reported, this case was discovered as a result of cyber patrols. At that time, the police found the account X @b******n which was promoting a Telegram link containing pornographic video content for minors.
The link was traced to a Telegram account that sells video content containing immoral content to minors.
When investigated, it was discovered that the pornographic video content on the account was managed by the suspect. Buyers are asked to pay Rp350.000 to get pornographic videos.
“It was discovered that in order to obtain immoral-related video content, prospective buyers or customers would be directed to first transfer an amount of Rp150.000 to an e-wallet account and Rp200.000 to an account number in the name of DY,” said the Dirreskrimsus at Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Ade Ari Simanjuntak yesterday.
