progresifjaya.id, KUNINGAN – The service unit of the One-Stop Integrated Administration System (Samsat) of Kuningan Regency has been continuously promoting the ease of paying taxes online through e-Samsat Jabar or the Samsat Digital (Signal) application to the community. This effort is a tactical step by Samsat Kuningan Regency to minimize long queues of taxpayers, especially when the tax amnesty process is in effect.
Manually, the tax payment process at Kuningan Regency Samsat itself is divided into several stages. Taxpayers must first take a queue number, either manually at the information counter or through the Signal Jabar application. After that, taxpayers will undergo a document verification process before going to the payment counter.
Head of Regident Kuningan Regency Samsat, Iptu Supraja in his explanation revealed, that theoretically the payment process scheme at Samsat Kuningan Regency does not create long queues. Even so, he continued, he admitted that the theoretical scheme in fact often contradicts reality.
“In the field, there are surprise factors that often hinder theoretical schemes. Most of these surprise factors are taxpayer documents that are known to be incomplete after the verification process. Such as not bringing the original BPKB or an unclear photocopy of the KTP. This can make the queue long,” said Iptu Supraja, Friday, (9/5).
He explained, that for the vehicle tax payment process, all taxpayers must remember to bring a photocopy of a valid KTP, the original BPKB along with a photocopy, and the old STNK for the extension process. Meanwhile, for vehicles that are still under leasing financing, an additional attachment is needed in the form of a certificate of payment in full from the leasing company.
If this surprise has been anticipated, continued Iptu Supraja, there are still other surprise factors that often arise. Many taxpayers are surprised when the amount to be paid exceeds the estimated figure known.
“Most taxpayers are shocked to have to pay more because they are subject to additional fines. They never thought that there would be fines to pay. This also has the potential to create long queues. That’s why we always urge people not to delay paying their taxes. If they are late, they will definitely be fined,” he explained again.
As a valid example of the estimated costs in question, the process of paying the extension tax can be used as a reference. This is because there are various costs that must be paid cumulatively in this process. Starting from the Principal Vehicle Tax (PKB) based on the selling value and age of the vehicle, then the Compulsory Contribution to the Road Traffic Accident Fund (SWDKLLJ), to the administration fee for making the STNK.
The extension of the 2020 Honda Beat motorcycle STNK can be used as one example of the benchmark. Cumulatively, the estimated cost that must be paid by taxpayers for this motorbike without a fine is in the range of Rp300.000 – Rp400.000 for one year of extension. That means the costs paid can exceed the estimate if the taxpayer is subject to additional fines. This is what often surprises taxpayers due to their ignorance regarding the emergence of fines.
Even so, all the factors that have been recognized and reviewed, continued Iptu Supraja, still do not hinder his party’s efforts to eradicate the practice of brokers and illegal levies (pungli) during operational moments of working hours.
“We have closed the space for brokers to carry out extortion at the Kuningan Regency Samsat. If caught and proven guilty, there are strict sanctions waiting as punishment. And we in general also continue to strive to provide optimal prime service to the community. Whatever the surprise factor is,” he explained again to finish. (Bembo)
