progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – The Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) of Polda Metro Jaya fully supports the commemoration of International Labor Day or May Day Fiesta on Thursday, (1/5) today. This form of support is manifested in the policy of no road closures during the commemoration.
The Director of Traffic (Dirlantas) of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Komarudin in his official statement said, that the policy was made to facilitate various community activities
“The number of May Day participants is very large. But we also hope that community activities can still run smoothly. That’s why we decided not to close the roads. Only a traffic engineering scenario that is situational in nature,” explained Kombes Pol Komarudin to reporters, Wednesday, (30/4) yesterday.
For the implementation of the traffic engineering scenario, he continued, Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya has coordinated with the committee and field coordinators of the commemoration activities.

The results of the coordination include the obligation for groups of participants using motorbikes to remain and cross the arterial road. Then there is also a strict prohibition on traveling on toll roads.
Furthermore, Kombes Pol Komarudin also appealed to the public to choose alternative road access to avoid congestion. The reason is, a number of roads are predicted to be very congested due to the large number of people participating in the commemoration.
“It is estimated that there will be congestion on the roads in Sudirman-Thamrin, Tomang, Harmoni, Pasar Baru, and the surrounding area. So please avoid it,” he reminded.
As is known, the center of the May Day 2025 commemoration will be held by workers in the Monas area. The flow of workers coming to Jakarta is predicted to be dense because they come from various regions, including Banten and West Java. The commemoration event starts at 09.00 WIB until the evening.
To secure this commemoration event, Polda Metro Jaya deployed 13.252 joint personnel. The number consists of 9.591 Polri personnel, 3.385 TNI personnel, and 276 personnel from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. (Bembo)
