progresifjaya.id, TANGSEL – Training aircraft Tecnam P2006T type with registration number PK-IFP belonging to the Indonesia Flying Club crashed in the BSD Serpong area, South Tangerang at around 14.00 WIB. It is known that the plane had just completed a survey task in Tanjung Lesung, Banten.
Kabid Humas of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi in his official statement explained, that the plane was on its return route after carrying out survey duties in Tanjung Lesung, Banten, regarding the air show agenda.
He said, based on the testimony of witnesses around the location, the plane was seen tilting. After that, the plane flew down without control and finally fell when the plane hit the earth head first.
“The Tecnam P2006T PK-IFP Flying Club Pondok Cabe plane was known to be flying from west to east with a wobbly condition or loss of power,” he said.
“Witness 1 saw 1 person on the plane screaming for help. Not long after, the plane flew down towards the Sunburst field and was out of control as it passed or hit a branch or branch of a trembesi tree. Then it fell on the edge of the Sunburst BSD field with the plane hit the ground head first,” he added.
This incident killed three people. The three victims, who were known to be intact, were immediately evacuated to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital at around 16.45 WIB.
Kombes Pol Ade Ary said, that the plane that crashed took off from Pondok Cabe Airport at around 11.36 WIB. The plane also landed at Salakanegara Special Airport, Pandeglang, Banten. On its return route to Pondok Cabe Airport, the plane experienced an incident and crashed around Sunburst Field, BSD.
“Landing Tanjung Lesung, Salakanegara Airport (ground time, notification before taking off from Tanjung Lesung at around 13.10 WIB. Continue taking off again from Tanjung Lesung to Pondok Cabe,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Kapolres Tangerang Selatan, AKPB Ibnu Bagus Santoso said, that when the plane crashed, the weather at BSD Serpong was indeed heavy rain. However, he didn’t want to conclude the cause of the accident.
“It was raining heavily at 14.00 WIB at the time of the incident. Later it will be clearer from the KNKT who will carry out the identification,” said Kapolres Ibnu.
He further said, that based on initial findings, the pilot was also known to have been thrown from the plane during the crash.
