The Case of a Corpse Wrapped in a Sarung in Pamulang, Heartache Became the Motive for the Perpetrator to Kill His Uncle

progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – The murder case where the body was wrapped in a sarung and the neck was almost severed in Pamulang was apparently motivated by feelings of heartache.

The perpetrator, who was none other than the victim’s nephew, admitted that the victim often scolded him with harsh words that made him hurt. The victim is a man with the initials AH (31). Meanwhile, the perpetrator has the initials FA (23).

This is the statement conveyed by the Head of Sub-Directorate for Resmob, Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya, AKBP Titus Yudho Ully to journalists, Monday, (13/5).

“The motive was that the perpetrator was hurt. The perpetrator was still the victim’s nephew and worked together with the victim looking after the victim’s Madura shop in Kampung Dukuh, Ciputat,” explained AKBP Titus.

The victim, AKBP Titus continued, is a resident from Sumenep, East Java. The victim also brought the perpetrator from his hometown to Pamulang, Tangerang Selatan, to help sell at his Madura stall.

“The perpetrator was often scolded. It was a 24-hour shop. He seemed to feel that he had done a good job, as if he had been sleeping at dawn when he was woken up. ‘If you’re working, just sleep, don’t stay here’, said several times,” said AKBP Titus, imitating the perpetrator’s confession.

He said again, moments before the murder, the perpetrator admitted that the victim had pulled his sarong. The perpetrator was again scolded by the victim.

“It’s like having your sarong pulled, then being scolded using Madurese. More or less, in essence, ‘If you’re just sleeping here, what are you doing here? Just go, go back to your village, okay’,” he said again.

Receiving such treatment many times ultimately makes the perpetrator angry and dark-eyed.
The coconut cutting machete at the victim’s Madura shop was immediately taken and slashed repeatedly at the victim’s body. This incident occurred on Friday, (10/5), at 16.00 WIB.

The victim’s body, which was covered in stab wounds and whose neck was almost severed, was then put in a sarung by the perpetrator and dumped in an empty plot at Makadam Housing Complex, Benda Baru,  Pamulang, Tangerang Selatan. The victim was found by local residents the next day, Saturday, (11/5) morning. (Bembo)
