Kapolsek Kubu, Iptu Kodam F Sidabutar in his official statement to progresifjaya.id, Saturday, (26/4) explained, that the legal process for this case continues according to procedure because it has been proven to meet the requirements to be continued. In addition to the fulfillment of evidence – including the results of the post-mortem from Abing, the witnesses needed by investigators to explain this case are also complete.
“Here i want to straighten out the wild information that is widely circulating about the case. Both Domo and Abing did indeed make police reports or LP to the Polsek Kubu. We from the Polsek Kubu serve both LPs according to the rules, there is no difference. Their LPs also refer to the same article, namely 351 of the Criminal Code or assault,” explained the Kapolsek Kodam.
Abing, he continued, made an LP to the Polsek Kubu on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. While Domo on the following day, namely Wednesday, March 12, 2025. No witnesses were brought by either of them when the LP process was made. Therefore, a few days later the investigator went to the location of the assault on Halang Island which borders directly on the Malacca Strait to obtain witnesses.
Feeling that there was still not enough material to complete the files based on witness statements on Halang Island, the investigator then asked for additional information from expert witnesses, namely the Puskesmas doctor who conducted the post-mortem and the forensic doctor from the Polda Riau.
“Based on the testimony of expert witnesses, the injuries suffered by Abing on the face fall under the category of Article 352 or minor assault. Meanwhile, the injuries suffered by Domo on the leg fall under the category of Article 351 or moderate assault because there was bleeding, a criterion for internal injuries. Everything is completely written in the examination file,” explained the Kapolsek Kodam again.
After that, he continued, investigators conducted a case conference at the Polres Rohil on Monday, March 24, 2025. Based on the results of the conference, investigators finally made the decision to make Abing and Domo suspects in this case.
Two days later, namely Wednesday, March 26, 2025, both Abing and Domo were summoned by investigators to undergo examination as suspects. Up to this point, one piece of information has emerged and circulated wildly, namely that investigators tore up the BAP paper because suspect Abing refused to sign it.
Responding to this information, the Kapolsek Kodam admitted to progresifjaya.id that he didn’t know. He also said that no one had reported to him about it. However, he continued, procedurally, the party being examined is required to first check the examination file before signing it. If it is deemed clear and there are no more errors, either in words or in sentence descriptions, then the file is signed by the examiner.
“I had no idea about that incident. I was just referring to the fact that the investigation files had been handled by Abing and Domo. And now the files are being examined by investigators from the prosecutor’s office,” the Kapolsek Kodam said.
“Now we just have to wait for the results. If it is declared P21 by the prosecutor’s office, it means that there will be a second stage of transfer of evidence and suspects. If it is P19, it means that our investigators must return to work to complete it.”
“I just want to emphasize to the Rohil community that this case will continue to run procedurally until the court. Let the court decide the final position of Abing and Domo in this case. Who is right and who is wrong. Our job is only to the transfer of the prosecutor’s office,” he added again.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of the National Police Commission (Kompolnas), Yusuf Warsyim in his statement to progresifjaya in response to this case again reminded the direction of the Kapolri, Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo regarding the eradication of gambling, both offline and online to support President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita. Because based on the directive, the Polda Riau should immediately act to arrest Sudomo alias Domo who is now a suspect in the assault case.

Therefore, we from Kompolnas firmly ask the Kapolda Riau to immediately arrest suspect Sudomo as a major lottery gambling dealer in Rohil for the gambling case.
