progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – In a sacred festive atmosphere welcoming Bhayangkara’s 78th anniversary, the Polri held social services (baksos) and distributed social assistance (bansos) simultaneously throughout Indonesia. Social service is realized in the form of house renovations and social assistance in the form of distributing basic food packages. There were 558 houses that were subject to house renovation. Meanwhile, 315.718 packages of basic necessities were distributed.
The ceremony for the implementation of this activity was led directly by the Kapolri, Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo at the Bhayangkara Field at the Polri Headquarters, Tuesday, (25/6). Also accompanying the General Chairperson of Bhayangkari, Juliati Sigit Prabowo.
As a sign of implementation, Kapolri Listyo Sigit gave social assistance packages of basic food items symbolically to online motorcycle taxi drivers, housewives and other elements of society. There is also a distribution of wheelchairs for people with disabilities.
Assistant Logistics Kapolri, Irjen Pol Argo Yuwono in his official statement said, that the implementation of social services and social assistance will be carried out simultaneously from June 14 to June 30 2024 throughout Indonesia.
“The implementation of social services and social assistance includes basic food social assistance, religious social service, house renovations, and construction of clean water facilities. This will be implemented by the Polri Headquarters and the ranks simultaneously,” said Irjen Pol Argo.
“This activity continues, yes it continues. Not just this number. Some of the Polda said that there were several that had not been reported. They are in the process of repairing the houses which is still ongoing,” he added.
He also said, that for religious services, improvements to places of worship will be carried out in 4.562 places of worship in Indonesia.
Then providing access to clean water is carried out in areas that lack water. Providing clean water is also being carried out and involves a number of Polda.
