progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – The police are really serious about hunting down the perpetrator of acid throwing at police officers who were trying to break up a brawl between residents of RW 01 and RW 02 on Jalan Basuki Rahmat (Basura), Cipinang Besar Utara, Jakarta Timur. Currently, Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya and Polres Metro Jakarta Timur have formed a joint team to hunt down the perpetrator of the acid throwing.
Kabid Humas of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi in his official statement said, that the joint team of Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya and Polres Metro Jakarta Timur has been formed and is working to conduct an in-depth investigation to find the perpetrator of the throwing. Therefore, said Kombes Pol Ade Ary, the police appealed to the perpetrator to immediately surrender before being arrested first.
“We urge the person concerned to immediately surrender because it is better before being caught. But we also ensure that this matter will be processed to completion,” he emphasized.
The victim of the police officer who was splashed with acid while breaking up a brawl in Basura is currently still undergoing treatment at the Kramatjati Police Hospital, Jakarta Timur. He is also conscious even though he suffered burns.
As is known, this legendary brawl broke out when dozens of youths from RW 01 and RW 02, Cipinang Besar Utara Urban Village, Jatinegara District, Jakarta Timur attacked each other throwing firecrackers and throwing stones at the brawl location. The Polres Metro Jakarta Timur and Polsek Jatinegara together with Brimob Yon B Cipinang who received this information rushed to the location to secure the situation and break up the brawl.
The brawl that occurred at around 04.35 WIB was broken up by joint personnel from Patroli Patra Brimob Yon B Cipinang and the Polres Metro Jakarta Timur. Well, in this situation, the brawlers trickily threw acid at the Brimob members who were breaking up the brawl. (Bembo)
