progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – The Polri deployed 1,207 joint personnel to secure the event BTN Jakarta International Marathon 2024, which will be attended by around 15 thousand runners from 32 countries. Security personnel consisting of elements from the Polri, TNI, Satpol PP and the Transportation Service will be deployed along the route taken by the runners.
Kapolres Metro Jakarta Pusat, Kombes Pol Susatyo Purnomo Condro,
in his official statement said, that diversion of road traffic around the marathon route had been carried out from 02.00 WIB in the morning until 12.00 WIB this afternoon.
Route diversions are centered in the Sudirman-Thamrin area, Medan Merdeka area, Monas, to Rasuna Said.
“Residents who are traveling should look for alternative routes because the road used to run the Marathon has been diverted,” said Kapolres Susatyo, Sunday, (23/6).
He also asked the audience to be careful because the threat of crime could come at any time.
“For viewers to be careful, take care of their belongings such as cellphones and jewelry. Don’t change hands. Then parents who bring their toddlers should also pay attention so that they don’t lose them,” he said again.
