The two perpetrators are Karsani alias K (50) as the father and Agung Pradana alias AP (24) as the son. Both are registered as residents of Dusun I, Paya Bengkuang Village, Gebang District, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra.
Kapolrestabes Medan, Kombes Pol Gidion Arif Setyawan in his official statement explained, that the mystery of this case could be quickly revealed thanks to the excellent collaboration between the Polrestabes Medan with the Polres Langkat Police and the Polres Karo.
“The results of our investigation together with the Polres Langkat P
and Polres Karo found the fact that the two perpetrators took possession of the victim’s Toyota Rush car,” said Kapolres Gidion who was accompanied by the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, AKBP Bayu Putro Wijayanto during a press conference at the Polrestabes Medan Headquarters, Friday, (11/4) afternoon yesterday.
The two perpetrators, continued Kapolres Gidion, during the examination admitted that they had been eyeing the victim’s car for a long time and wanted to take possession of it. The two perpetrators then planned to kill the victim and succeeded in doing so. The victim’s body was then dumped by the two perpetrators in the Langkat area.
“We found the victim’s body in the Paluh River in the Gebang Langkat area. Meanwhile, the murder itself was planned by the two perpetrators on April 2,” explained the three-star jasmine officer with NRP 75060704 from the Wira Satya Akpol 1996 Battalion.
He said again, the murder and robbery of the victim were carried out by the two perpetrators on Sunday, (6/4/). The incident began with an order from the perpetrator K to the In Driver in Sunggal. This order was then received by the victim who picked up K with AP. Not long after, the perpetrator K asked the victim to stop for a moment on the grounds that he wanted to contact his family.
When the car stopped, the perpetrator AP who was sitting behind the driver immediately got up and covered the victim with a sarong that had been prepared. Because the victim continued to struggle, the perpetrator K immediately hit the victim with a hammer. The victim was then dragged behind the car and continued to be beaten until he died.
After making sure the victim was no longer alive, the two perpetrators then went on the way to the Langkat area. Upon arrival there, the victim’s body was then put into a sarong that was added with a stone weight. The victim’s body was then thrown into the Paluh River. Meanwhile, the two perpetrators continued their journey to their family’s house which was also in Langkat.
“The investigation that we conducted obtained results from traces of car plate changes. We also found the perpetrator’s clothes and the car floor that had blood stains from the victim. The findings of this investigation are the key for us to quickly solve this case,” said the Kapolres Gidion again
All the results obtained in the investigation then concluded the direction to K and AP as the suspected perpetrators. However, when they were raided to be processed, the two tried to act up and fight the officers. Bang-bang. Forced, two bullets were fired from the mouth of the gun by officers into the legs of the two perpetrators. After being paralyzed because their legs were shot, it was easy for officers to transport them to the Polrestabes Medan Headquarters to be processed by law.
As a result of their actions, the perpetrators K and AP are now anxiously awaiting because they have been charged with Article 340 in conjunction with Article 338 in conjunction with Article 351 paragraph (3) of the Criminal Code concerning assault and premeditated murder.
