progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – A legal case with a ridiculous follow-up process occurred in Rokan Hilir (Rohil), Riau. The victim named Hermanto alias Abing was badly beaten by a self-proclaimed togel bookie named Sudomo alias Domo. As a result of this abuse, Abing suffered a number of physical injuries such as on his forehead and mouth.
This abuse occurred on Monday, March 10, 2025 at 16:20 WIB. The location of the abuse was at the Barokah Food Stall, Halang Island, Kubu, Rohil, Riau. Suddenly, the perpetrator Domo came and immediately attacked Abing physically. Domo repeatedly threw punches and kicks at Abing’s body and face. Abing’s stomach was even kicked and stepped on by Domo’s feet. Abing did not fight back at all. Just trying to avoid and endure the pain from being kicked and punched by Domo.
Domo, who was like a village warrior, only got up and left the location after seeing Abing lying helplessly on the ground. His cheeky face showed a happy expression, a sign that he had achieved an important victory as a street fighter. Domo’s personal opinion at that time.
After the assault incident, Abing immediately went to the Kubu Police to seek justice. He made a police report or LP in the hope that Domo, the perpetrator, would immediately be called by the police to be questioned and made a suspect. However, unexpectedly, Domo, the perpetrator, also did the same thing. He also made an LP to the Polsek Kubu with Abing as the perpetrator of the assault.
Long story short, of the two LPs that went to the Polsek Kubu for this case, Domo’s LP turned out to be more aggressive. The investigation process was immediately accelerated by the Polsek Kubu Criminal Investigation Unit by examining Abing as a witness on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
However, Abing already felt uncomfortable with this examination because he knew that he had been named a suspect on Monday, March 24, 2025 – two days before undergoing the examination report (BAP) process. His heart rebelled against this legal fact.
“How is it possible that i was questioned as a reported party on March 26, while my suspect determination letter was dated March 24?” said Abing in confusion.
With simple logic, Abing continued, he questioned what formula the police used to make him a suspect. The reason is, until the summons for his examination on March 26, 2025, there was no hallo-hallo call at all for him to participate in the case title reconstruction.
“I have asked this to the Kapolsek Kubu, Iptu Kodam F Sidabutar but i have not received an answer. He even seems to be trying to avoid me until now,” he said in annoyance.
IPW Annoyed
Responding to the ridiculous legal case between Abing and a self-proclaimed lottery dealer named Sudomo alias Domo, the Chairman of Indonesia Police Watch (IPW), Sugeng Teguh Santoso expressed his sadness and annoyance. Furthermore, Sugeng continued, Kompolnas has also sent a letter numbered: B-324B/Kompolnas/4/2025 regarding Information on Handling Public Suggestions and Complaints to the Kapolda Riau, Irjen Pol Herry Heryawan to immediately follow up and straighten out this ridiculous case that has been twisted.
“IPW urges the Kapolda Riau, Irjen Pol Herry Heryawan to immediately take action to seriously follow up on the ridiculous joke case between Abing and Domo. Polsek Kubu as an institution that received the LP from both parties must comprehensively examine all evidence and witnesses from this case. The victim Abing also immediately undergo a visum et repertum for the injuries suffered because the results of the visum are also evidence from this case,” explained Sugeng Teguh Santoso to progresifjaya.id, Friday, (25/4/2025).
Meanwhile, regarding the LP of the perpetrator Domo who was more aggressive in running away and was processed first than Abing’s LP, Sugeng strongly suspects that the perpetrator Domo played a money game with the Polsek Kubu. Moreover, Domo is also the old owner of the official police stamp with the title of a big influential lottery gambling dealer in Rokan Hilir. So all predictions related to the alleged flow of money from Domo to the police are logical.
“As a big lottery gambling dealer, the perpetrator Domo must have a lot of money. He also needs security guarantees to live his life as a lottery gambling dealer. Security is the authority of the police. So he played bribes with the police so that his gambling business runs smoothly without interference,” Sugeng explained critically.
“Well, to face the LP made by Abing, it is also very likely that Domo also did the same. Investigators were paid to process his LP while playing lenong to make Abing a suspect. Finally it happened. The joke of the current legal facts,” he added.
Regarding all these possible allegations, Sugeng said again, Kapolda Riau, Irjen Pol Herry Heryawan should be sensitive and take action immediately. The police who are suspected of receiving money from Domo, including the Kapolsek Kubu, Iptu Kodam F Sidabutar, must be quickly taken to Propam for questioning. If all the allegations are proven, they must all be removed from their positions and deactivated to undergo a code of ethics trial.
“IPW is not playing around in responding to this ridiculous farce of a case. The Kapolda Riau must immediately internally investigate the rogue police officers under him and straighten out this twisted case. The perpetrator Domo must also be arrested quickly because of his status as a big lottery gambling dealer. Public trust in the police is at stake in this farce of a case. If the Kapolda Riau is not seen to be able to act to fix this problem, IPW can simply ask the Kapolri to remove Irjen Pol Herry Heryawan from his position as Kapolda Riau,” said the man who also serves as Secretary General of the National Leadership Council of the Indonesian Advocates Association (Peradi).
