progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – Serang City Polresta held a free health service for online motorcycle taxi (ojol) drivers in Kasemen, Serang City. This humanistic activity was held in order to welcome the 79th Anniversary of Bhayangkara which falls on July 1, 2025.
Kapolresta Serang City, Kombes Pol Yudha Satria in his statement explained, that the main purpose of this activity is to bring the Polri closer to the community. In addition, this activity also reflects the concern of the Serang City Polresta for public health, especially informal sector workers such as ojol drivers.
“The impact of this activity is that we from the Polri institution want to be closer to the community. And our choice for ojol is because they are hard workers in the informal sector who do not know time and conditions. We want to maintain their health,” said Kapolresta Yudha, Monday, (16/6).
In carrying out this activity, ojol drivers received a number of free health check-up services, starting from checking blood pressure, blood sugar, and also light medical consultations. Free medicines were also provided for those who needed them.
One of the ojol drivers, Agus (46), admitted that he really appreciated this activity.
“Honestly, we feel very helped. We rarely check our health because we are busy working. However, with this activity, we can know our body condition,” said Agus happily. (Bembo)
