progresifjaya.id, JAKARTA – Investigators from the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya officially named Pierre WG Abraham, a Fortuner tengil driver who claimed to be the general’s younger brother, as a suspect in forging TNI official car plates.
He was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code regarding intentionally using a fake or forged letter as if it were genuine. The threat of punishment that awaits him is a maximum of 6 years in prison.
In his official statement, Dirreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Wira Satya Triputra, explained, that the suspect’s vehicle-grazing action occurred on the Jakarta-Cikampek Km 56 toll road, which is within the jurisdiction of the Polda Jawa Barat.
“We convey that when the vehicle hit the case, it was already past Km 51. It happened at Km 56, which is under the jurisdiction of the Polda Jawa Barat,” explained Kombes Pol Wira to journalists, Thursday, (18/4).
The victim’s name is Marcellina Irianti Deca
whose vehicle collided with the Fortuner driven by the suspect on the Japek Toll Road, continued Kombes Pol Wira, has made a report to the Bareskrim Polri.
The report is registered with the number LP/B/115/IV/2024/SPKT/BARESKRIM POLRI dated April 16 2024. This means that the handling of cases that occur, including those related to violations of the Traffic and Road Transport Law (LLAJ) will be handled by Bareskrim Polri
“The victim has already made a police report to Bareskrim. So why not (report it) to Polda Metro? Because the incident is still in the jurisdiction of Jawa Barat. Maybe later Bareskrim can handle it,” explained Kombes Pol Wira.
He also said, further that, after his alleged claim to be the general’s younger brother went viral on social media, the suspect, Pierre WG Abraham, panicked and thought about himself at the hotel, and was too lazy to go home.
He chose to be alone and enjoy his panic in a hotel in the Lembang area, Jawa Barat after suddenly finding out that a video recording of him had gone viral on social media.
Head of Unit 2 Resmob Sub-Directorate, Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya, Kompol Anggi Fauzi Hasibuan added, that initially the suspect didn’t know that his video recording had gone viral on social media. When he found out it was viral, he immediately panicked. His self-confidence immediately collapsed and he didn’t dare to go home. Finally, he chose to stay in a hotel in the Lembang area, Jawa Barat, to reflect and ward off panic.
“He didn’t realize that the incident had gone viral. Someone called him, from there, he initially found out. He wanted to go on holiday because of the long holiday season. He admitted that he was just at the hotel, contemplating,” said Kompol Anggi.
Furthermore, Kompol Anggi’s story continues, the suspect then tried to complain about the incident of his being hit by a Fortuner car with TNI service plates which he was driving with another vehicle on the Japek Toll Road to his older brother who is also a retired TNI officer. To investigators, the suspect then admitted that he was directed by his brother to throw away the TNI service plate.
“He admitted to this (behavior), he made a fuss. Then someone made him viral and now he has gone viral on social media. Then his older brother directed him, ‘you use this and this’. It happened like that, throw it away. Only, the number plate. On that basis, he threw away the number plate,” explained Kompol Anggi again.
The suspect Pierre, who based on investigators’ data was born in Manado, August 1 1971, turned out to be a private employee with an address in Cempaka Putih Barat Village, Jakarta Pusat.
He was arrested by the Unit 2 Team of the Subdit Resmob Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya led by Kompol Anggi Fauzi Hasibuan, at his brother’s house in Pondok Kelapa, Jakarta Timur, last Monday, (16/4) and is currently still in the Polda Metro Jaya detention room. (Bembo)
